MY PC IS DEAD!

This is the worst! I need get my work/studies/game on done and my computer just won't power on/turn on/boot up. I've tried all sorts of things like pressing the start button, checking the cable and even pressing the reset button, but nothing is working! Could it be that there's something wrong with the motherboard? I'm totally out of ideas. What s
